On February 28, there was an incident that happened. A young girl about 7-years-old was sitting in her room just having a snack on Summer Street. Apparently here family heard several pops. Seven-year-old Emaleeah frost was shot in her bedroom. Emaleeah is in the hospital now to make a full recovery from the accident. The house that she was shot in is on the same block where another incident happened where a Waterville mother was shot and killed in October. Many people around are very concerned with the rise in crime that has happened. I feel horrible for Emaleeah and her family, she didn’t do anything wrong to deserve what happened to her. I hope that Emaleeah has a good recovery and will be better soon. I don’t understand how someone could just go around and shoot someone let alone a little girl. I feel horrible for the family and hope that everything goes well. Lastly, I also wish that they will find the person who has been doing all of this and that everyone will recover okay.

The Coronavirus has been going around the world and spreading through multiple people. The most common place where the Coronavirus is found is in China. The death toll has reached nearly 3,000. At least 74 cases and one death has been noticed in the United States. In South Korea, there have been 3,736 confirmed cases and 18 that have died from this virus. Many people are being infected by the Coronavirus and it’s affecting so many lives. When the Coronavirus started going around I didn’t expect it to be as bad as it is now. I couldn’t imagine how everyone is feeling being that sick and even possibly death. I hope that eventually there will be an end to it and there will be a cure for the ones dealing with this to make them better. I also hope that the Coronavirus doesn’t spread much more and around everywhere. I also think that there shouldn’t be as many jokes that people are making about this because there are so many lives that are being put at risk because of this disease. Hopef

On Sunday, January 19, there was a very serious accident that occured. The accident took place on Moosehead Lake. There was a snowmobile accident where a man had died because of it. 56-year-old Steven Allard was driving separate snowmobiles with his wife. Steven had gone to a soft part of the lake and the snowmobile fell through the ice. He was unresponsive when the fire crews found him and pulled him out of the water. During this accident, Steven had passed away but his wife survived what happened. When I had heard this happened I felt very bad for Steven’s wife. I couldn’t imagine how she felt during the time this all occured. Although Steven didn’t see the spot of the lake and didn’t realize it. Hopefully, the snowmobilers should be even more cautious and careful now that this event has happened. Also, I think that there should be some type of way to tell if or when this type of event would happen just to keep people safer and not hurt or possibly killed. I felt bad for what his

  On January 26, 2020, an incident occurred that devastated multiple people. Kobe and Gianna Bryant along with seven other lives were taken in a helicopter crash. There were three teenagers and six adults who were killed in the crash. They were on their way to a basketball tournament for their kids and they were traveling through helicopter which had crashed into a hillside in Calabasas, California. The death of all nine victims was classified as blunt trauma. As the helicopter was dropping its descent rate was 2,000 feet per minute. Kobe was once part of the Lakers and had a wife and four children. On that day Vanessa Bryant had lost her husband and one of her kids.  When I had heard about this accident I didn’t think it was real. I thought it was just a rumor going around. I couldn’t imagine how the families of all of the victims who were killed. This is a big part of history since one of the legends had passed away. In September 2019 is when it started. Many lives were affected and some were even killed. Many people and wildlife were harmed. There is a huge wildfire that is still happening to this point right now. In Australia, there is a wildfire that is happening and has been known as one of the worst ones that Australia has had. Even though there has been cooler weather and rain it has given the fire sort of a break but there are still over 100 fires burning in the states of New South Wales and Victoria. There have also been over 28 deaths and four firefighters were even killed in the time. Also, about 15.6 million acres of bush, forest, and parks were burned, more than 2,000 houses were recked and over 20,000 animals were harmed which were mainly koalas. With all of the wildfires happening it must be horrible to have your houses ruined and people getting hurt all because of a fire. On November 14, 2019, there were two teenagers that were shot and killed and multiple brought to the hospital with injuries. In Santa Clarita, California there was a school shooting in Saugus High School that ended up taking the lives of a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy who passed away after arriving at the hospital. The shooting was reported at 7:38 am. The suspect had posted the night before this happened on his Instagram bio, "Saugus have fun at school tomorrow" signaling that something was going to happen. Authorities said that the shooting was also on the day of the suspect’s birthday. He had shot five students, and himself. There had been at least 30 shootings on school grounds just this year. Hearing about this incident makes me feel bad for the people who experienced this along with the ones who died and the friends and families of those who passed. I couldn’t imagine how the ones who experience this tragedy felt. I just don’t really understand ho
